Home : Edinburgh South Cricket Club

Hi and welcome to the Edinburgh South CC website!

Edinburgh South Cricket Club is based on The Inch Cricket Ground to the South of the City.  We would show you a picture of our pavilion, but unfortunately it was burnt down during the 2006 season.  The good news is that Edinburgh Council and Lismore Rugby Club are coming together to stump some cash towards a brand new pavilion for the club.

Jim Brims who was the Club Captain for many years and is now the Coach said in a moment of seriousness "It is important the Club attract new, keen members. In my time as captain we clawed our way up through the leagues winning league titles and cups and there is no reason why it can't be done again. The aim of the Edinburgh South Cricket Club is to encourage all levels of skill to play cricket and for the ambitious the chance to start climbing up the leagues!".

The club has a proud history in taking in waifs and strays from other city clubs and also extends a warm welcome to players who have moved to, or settled in, Edinburgh. We don’t care how young, old, good or bad you are. If you enjoy a game of cricket and a bit of chat then get in touch, it would be great to hear from you!

We're always looking for new players & we run 3 teams (weekend & midweek) during a very busy cricket season, so we should be able to get you a game somewhere!
