Welcome to the Edinburgh South Cricket Club
Edinburgh South is a fun, friendly and welcoming cricket club based at Inch Park, in the South of the city.
We operate four XIs in the East of Scotland Assocation leagues, as well as fielding friendly sides on Sundays and midweek. The 1st XI play a good standard of cricket, and will look to continue the good form they showed to gain promotion to Division 2 last season, and push towards the national leagues in 2012. The 2nd XI also gained promotion last season, and, now in Division 5, will once again aim to play to a high standard. The 3rds are looking forward to building on their rewarding first season, and their special brand of social but nonetheless competitive cricket. Our new 4th XI hope to exhibit the same brand of cricket, and give even more players the opportunity to enjoy a competitive game on a Saturday. So there's plenty of cricket for everyone - from highly ambitious players to complete beginners.
The club has a proud history in taking in waifs and strays from other clubs. We also extend a warm welcome to players new to Edinburgh, trying the sport for the first time, or returning after a break.
Along with Lismore Rugby Club and Edinburgh South Football Club, we are founder members of the Inch Park Community Sports Club. Inch Park is one of Scotland's most exciting sporting projects, creating excellent sports and community facilities - including our amazing new clubhouse and a new cricket square for the 2012 season.
