Edinburgh South Cricket Club

Edinburgh South CC Pre-season cricket net practices will commence on Sunday the 24th January 2010 at the Edinburgh Academy Sports Centre, Arboretum Road, Inverleith. They will run for 10 weeks Every Sunday 12pm - 2pm. Make sure you get your Annual Subs paid early as it will include the cost of Nets! Otherwise there will be a small charge every week for non-members. We look forward to seeing you there!

Mission Accomplished
Congratulations to both 1sts and 2nds for gaining promotion by finishing 2nd in their respective leagues and thanks and well done to all the players who helped achieve this.
It's only 10 years since we had 3 sides with the 1sts in the top division but then for various reasons we slipped down the leagues to the point where we almost folded.
Along came Paul Reddish who with his enthusiasm ,hard work and fresh ideas has rejuvenated the club .With help from the "oldies" and all the new members the club is certainly on the way back and long may it continue.
As 2nd X1 captain I can tell you there were some cracking games of cricket ,not too mention one controversial game,and of course success in the end ,all of which made it a memorable season .
