Edinburgh South Cricket Club Lost by 4 wickets

Match report After losing the toss and being inserted into bat, South got off to the worse possible start losing both openers early for just 4 runs. A good 50 partnership from Amin and Riyaz that flowed at more than a run a ball soon got things going however. After Riyaz departed, the skipper went fairly quickly afterwards for a duck. Amin then continued his good form with Prabhakar before holing out in the deep (again!) after getting his first fifty of the season. Prabhakar continued to bat well, but the innings fizzled out to a below par 146.

Westquarters openers started with a fine array of shots and had nearly 90 runs on the board before the first wicket fell. The match at that point was looking lost, with a sloppy fielding performance and three dropped catches included within the 90 runs. After the drinks break, things picked up and four wickets in the remaining 50 runs at least made things a little more interesting and gave us something to take into next week's league match.
