Peebles County 2nds v Edinburgh South Cricket Club 2nd XI on Sat 01 Sep 2007 at 1.30 p.m
Edinburgh South Cricket Club Won by 7 wickets
Peebles, having been put in to bat, had to thank a last wicket partnership of 40 to top the hundred mark. For the Souths second string this was saving the best until last with a convincing seven wicket win.
Gerry claimed four wickets and there were three well taken run outs, two of which involved direct hits by James France.
Once again Thomas and Scott gave our innings a sound start, their partnership of 29 strangely replicating their effort of the previous week. Asanka joined Scott in a third wicket stand of 77 and it was fitting that Scott should hit the winning run to round off a season undoubted promise.
