Delay leaving Glasgow on the M8 meant that G.A.4, in future to be known as Windyedge, arrived late. This reduced the match to 32 overs and provided the Mitres with an extended warm up period. It did them little good as a typical batting collapse followed. Jim and Nico showed the required patience on a slow wicket to put on 26 for the ninth wicket. In the field Jonwin held a fine running and diving catch at short fine leg, Fyfey pouched a drive at cover and Derek M held a steepler with the aid of his 'keeping gloves while Matthew's good spell made him the pick of the bowlers.
