Simply "The Legend" - has taken over 1000 wickets and scored almost 10000 runs for Mitre/Edinburgh South. Captained the team for 1980 to 1999!!!

Getting back to the nagging line and length with a bit of flight-variation in the bowling... annoying lower-order bat who can hang around a bit. Would be nice to score a half-century some time...?

Enthusiastic wicket keeper batsmen (but will bowl slow medium.  if required). Excited about his first season in Scotland. Looking forward to improving his all round game and encouraging his team mates to do the same. Likes to make himself heard in the field.

My father looks like WG Grace!

Rumoured to have played in the same team as W G Grace. Alledgedly carried his bat for 1 not out when opening the batting in a 20 over game ... or it might have been a 40 over game. Our oldest playing member and in danger of achieving legendary status!

After a 20 year sabbatical in Yorkshire I've returned to God's country... right hand bat right hand bowl... enthusiasm wins over skill. I'm going to be taking many wickets during the 2009 season, a revelation I tell thee!

Talented hard-hitting batsman with the target of scoring his first club 100 this season. Managed 87 in 2007 so he might well achieve his aim. More than useful spin bowler and an enthusiastic fielder and appealer!!! Often sees plumb LBWs from deep mid-wicket which those with a better view have failed to spot!

Long serving right hand bat, who has batted through the order from 1 to 11, and off spinner(at least in August at Inch Park). Has also filled a number of positions on the East of Scotland C. A. committee. Anxiously awaiting the relaunch of the second eleven. For 2008 make that the third eleven. aka Mr Mitre

(born 22 October 1978 in Karachi, Pakistan) is an English cricketer. A middle-order batsman, he has played for Middlesex since his youth and has represented England in all forms of the game.
Between 2001 and 2009, he played 71 ODIs and 17 Twenty20 Internationals. He also played 6 tests, starting with a strong 88 on debut against India in 2006. However, opportunities were limited and he did not make his third appearance until 2009 againt the West Indies and in 2008-2009 he was dropped. With Michael Vaughan retired and Ian Bell dropped, he had the opportunity to claim the number 3 position for himself, however a weak series saw him dropped in favour of Ravi Bopara.
He has also represented the Indian PremierLeague team Kokata Knight Riders during the 2009 and 2010 seasons, before being bought by Kochi Tuskers for the following two seasons. He also had a short stint at the Wellinton Firebirds in New Zealand.

I was a good batsman who could bowl a bit in my initial days. I have been identified as a good bowler by the club but my interest is to play as a middle order batsman and gain the same recognition for my batting by the club and i am eager and confident enough to prove it.
