Match report Tranent won the toss and invited the Thirds to bat on Meadows No.3 Light rain started soon after the match got under way. The bulk of the ESCC 3s runs came in two partnehips of 28 for the 2nd wicket (Ayyapan and Calum) and 36 for the 6th wicket (Chris and Andrew). The innings contained two examples of four wickets falling for the addition of very few or no runs whatsoever, thus leaving nine overs unused.
The persistent rain became heavier as the Tranent innings progressed until conditions became very slippery.
