Welcome to the Edinburgh South Cricket Club

Edinburgh South is a fun, friendly and welcoming cricket club based at Inch Park, in the South of the city.

We operate four XIs in the East of Scotland Cricket Assocation league, as well as fielding friendly sides on Sundays and mid-weeks.  The 1st XI play a good standard of cricket and will play in East of Scotland League Division 1 for 2013, having been promoted in 2012. We are now one step away from the national leagues, as presently constituted, and getting there will present a new challenge which we fully intend to approach positively.

The 2nd XI retain their place in Division 5 for 2013. The new season will again be full of highly competitive games and the side will look to play to a high standard. The 3rd XI, despite continuing to enjoy their competitive but light-hearted brand of cricket, dropped back into Division 9 for 2013. They and our 4th XI, launched in 2012, have two league derbies to look forward to in the season ahead. The 4th XI hope to exhibit the same brand of cricket and continue to give even more players the opportunity to enjoy a competitive game on a Saturday.
Here's hoping for a good season in 2013!

While our on-field progress has been rewarding, we are always searching for ways to make improvements off-field as well. Along with Lismore Rugby Club and Edinburgh South Football Club, we are founder members of the Inch Park Community Sports Club. Inch Park is one of Scotland's most exciting sporting projects, creating excellent sports and community facilities including our amazing new clubhouse and a new cricket square. We now also have a new artificial wicket on our second pitch at the Inch.

So, as you will see, the club is a great place to be and there's plenty of cricket for everyone - from highly ambitious players to complete beginners. The club has a proud tradition of welcoming players both from other ESCA clubs and those who are new in Edinburgh.
Everyone is welcome.
