Match report Following a start delayed by 70 minutes and shortening the match to 30 overs each Carlton repaired the early damage inflicted by Titch, who was hampered by the wet ball in his second spell. Matthew claimed two wickets in the same over in the middle of a good spell and Pamir was involved in the other two wickets, the second by deflecting a drive onto the stumps with the non-striker out of his ground.
Our loss of wickets to the last ball of the 11th over and the first ball of the 12th brought Sohail and Asanka together with the score 40 for 3. They took us to victory with 7 overs to spare by adding the 90 required in an assured partnership. Asanka passed 50 for the second successive week in 48 minutes and his final tally of 56* contained 11 x 4s. However Sohail hit the winning boundary.
