Edinburgh South Cricket Club 3rd XI squad
3rd XI
Captain :
Pete Kingsley
Now in his second year as 3rd XI captain, Kingsley's bowling has evolved from slow-medium filth, to medium and not-quite-so-filthy. His 50-minute duck vs Largo in 2011 has passed into club legend, and he will look to further indulge his penchant for time-consuming, ineffectual batting this year. He also anticipates adding to his extensive catalogue of dropped catches.
Also Edinburgh South treasurer; responsible for club treasure.
Vice Captain :
Chris Griggs
A RHB that is trying to get used to a pitch that won't bounce who also likes to send down the odd pie from a 4 pace run up
Players
Andrew Barrie
A young player who bowls slow, wicket to wicket pies but gets wickets
Andy Buddery
MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE!
Eoghan Clifford
Alan Dawson
Gerry Dodson
Grandpa of the team. Never mind the twelve weans back home. Ambitious lower order right hand batsman, slow left arm spinner. Optimist: “if I don’t know what’s coming next, what hope does the batsman have?”
Peter Fyfe
Tanny Gill
Mark Kirby
Ayyapan Kumaraperumal
Madan Lal
Johnathan Linfoot
Sakti Manikandan
Colin Mills
Still hanging in there - made yet another comeback in 2011. Wants to stay injury free long enough to justify paying a sub!
James Mollard
A Yorkshire born and bred youngster, with a typical Yorkshire attitude. Will either turn up with his bowling head or batting head, as he believes multi-tasking is for women. Now able to see the ball after having a haircut, he is a left handed bat, right hand bowler.
Considerably better looking than Callum Raine.
Sahil Momin
Paul Murphy
If your strike rate is above 25, then you're taking unnecessary risks.
Hiren Pathak
Calum Raine
(born 22 October 1978 in Karachi, Pakistan) is an English cricketer. A middle-order batsman, he has played for Middlesex since his youth and has represented England in all forms of the game.
Between 2001 and 2009, he played 71 ODIs and 17 Twenty20 Internationals. He also played 6 tests, starting with a strong 88 on debut against India in 2006. However, opportunities were limited and he did not make his third appearance until 2009 againt the West Indies and in 2008-2009 he was dropped. With Michael Vaughan retired and Ian Bell dropped, he had the opportunity to claim the number 3 position for himself, however a weak series saw him dropped in favour of Ravi Bopara.
He has also represented the Indian PremierLeague team Kokata Knight Riders during the 2009 and 2010 seasons, before being bought by Kochi Tuskers for the following two seasons. He also had a short stint at the Wellinton Firebirds in New Zealand.

I was a good batsman who could bowl a bit in my initial days. I have been identified as a good bowler by the club but my interest is to play as a middle order batsman and gain the same recognition for my batting by the club and i am eager and confident enough to prove it.
