Match report Three wickets for Gerry, including the all important first wicket of Nigel Binnie, formerly a prolific run scorer for B'muir, three also for Asanka on his
enforced late introduction to the attack, tight bowling by Suresh plus two catches and two catches by the Skipper were our highlights in the field after Dunbar had elected to bat on winning the toss.
Sohail and Praveen gave us a great start with an opening stand of 54 in 10.2 overs with Praveen going on to complete a 38 ball 50. He fell lbw to the next ball he faced and with Suresh and Fyfey also back in the Dunbar gazebo a score of 85 for 4 meant the home side were back in the game. A stand of 60 for the 5th wicket in which Zoheb played a supporting role to Asanka's positive approach should have ensured a comfortable victory but there was a late stutter when three wickets fell on 156. Asanka was still there and finished on 57* with Gerry joining him to see us to the win.
