Edinburgh South is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community cricket club based at Inch Park in the south of Edinburgh. We are here for the love of the game, the community, and the friendships that come with it. Whether you are a seasoned player or picking up a bat for the first time, there is a place for you.

Who we are

We run five senior men's teams competing across all levels of the Scottish cricket. In 2025, our 1st XI step up to the Cricket Scotland Eastern Premier League, the highest level of domestic cricket in Scotland, for the very first time. We've celebrated a period of unparalleled success across our East of Scotland Cricket Association sides with our 2nd XI playing in Division 3 having been promoted four seasons in succession and our other XIs playing in Divisions 6, 7 and 9 respectively.

Our women's section is going from strength to strength, competing in the summer East Challenger League and winter indoor tournaments like the Wee Bash.

We also have a thriving junior section, introducing boys and girls to cricket from the age of six and giving them a pathway to develop their skills.

Club culture

We are a community club in the truest sense. Run by volunteers, we exist to make cricket accessible and enjoyable for as many people as possible. It does not matter if you are aiming for the Premier League or just want to play for fun, there is a place for you South.

We take our cricket seriously but never take ourselves too seriously. You will find competitive league action, casual games, and a welcoming atmosphere on and off the pitch. We also believe in playing the right way. Our commitment to honesty, integrity and respect has earned us a strong reputation across ESCA and has led us to many of our sides topping the fair play leagues for their respective divisions.

As founding members of Inch Park Community Sports Club, we work with other local clubs to improve facilities and grow the game in Edinburgh. We also coach in local schools to introduce more young players to cricket and help them take their first steps in the sport.

Get involved

New players are always welcome. Whether you are new to Edinburgh, switching clubs, or picking up the game for the first time, we would love to have you. Drop us a message or swing by Inch Park in the summer as you'll see some cricket action most nights.

Come and be part of something special. Come on the South!
