New Fully Funded Coaching Leadership Programme

11 Aug 2017

To all members -

As you may remember, we put budget aside last year to appoint a senior men's coach but just couldn't find anyone suitable.   With my wider Cricket Scotland hat on I asked around and good quality coaches do appear to be a shortage in Scotland at the moment.   In addition to the lack of coaches, all the qualifications are geared around technical coaching - there isn't really anything that supports the softer side of leading teams - particularly on leadership skills.

In response to this, I've managed to secure funding to host a fully funded new coaching leadership programme at Inch Park.   This will provide ten people with the opportunity to gain a L2 coaching young people and adults cricket qualification and a high quality leadership development programme that will benefit them in their every day professional lives as well as this role.  They will also receive a mentor for 12 months to help support and embed their learning.

We are taking applications from anyone who wishes to take part, but as we are the host club and have secured the funding I'll make sure if we are oversubscribed priority is given to those from within who wish to take this on.

The condition of this investment in you is that you commit to a voluntary coaching role at the club for 2018.  This could be mens, womens or junior hardball.  It would not need to be a lead coaching role and you would be supported in carrying this out.

I have attached full details of the course and the application form.  If anyone is interested, please get in touch with me.
