Cricket Development Officer Sought!

An exciting opportunity to help lead one of Edinburgh’s leading clubs by developing a rapid and sustainable growth of youth cricket in the area, delivering and leading on a variety of innovative and exciting school and community based programmes. 

Background on the club:

Six promotions in six years, now in East of Scotland Division 1

Operate four senior XIs

A newly established youth section

Part of a forward thinking community sports hub, which also includes Rugby and Football delivery in the local schools and community groups.

Details on the role:

Job Role          : Cricket Development Officer

Length             : Initial three year post

Reports to        : Chairman, Edinburgh South Cricket Club         

Location           : Inch Park Community Sports Club, 227 Gilmerton Road, Edinburgh.  EH16 5TD

Basic Salary     : £11,000 - £13,000/pa

Basic hours      : 33 hours/week April – September.  15 hours/week October – March.

Qualifications required:  UKCC Level 2 or equivalent



Additional earning opportunities:

Coaching work with Cricket Scotland (£12.50 / £15 hour).

Coaching work in the winter for rugby and football (if badges obtained) via Inch Park Community Sports Club (£12.50/hour)

1-2-1 coaching work with Edinburgh South Cricket Club members (£15/hour).

Work is also available behind clubhouse bar at weekends (minimum wage)
