What does membership include?

- Play in one ESCA league, cup or friendly match a week for free.
- Attendance in outdoor training sessions during the summer run by club coaches.
- The use of club kit.
- Priority selection for all fixtures. Club members will always get priority ahead of non-members.

What additional costs are there?

Should you wish to play more than one fixture a week an a top-up fee will apply:
- Second weekend game – £5
- Midweek game - £3
These fees apply to league, cup, and friendly fixtures. The most expensive fixture per week will be free and included as part of your membership.

How does this compare to other clubs in the city?

There are a range of different models used by clubs within Edinburgh. At one end of the spectrum are casual clubs who rely on Council pitches and have no coaches or training facilities where membership fees can be as low as £50. At the other end are longstanding members clubs with facilities developed over a number of decades and dedicated coaching programmes which can cost in upwards of £400 a year. We are positioned in the middle and our fees are broadly comparable with clubs with similar overheads.

Alternative options

We strongly recommend anyone interested in playing for the club signs up to become a member. As a volunteer-led, not-for-profit community sports team, membership fees play a critical role in ensuring that we can continue to be an open and welcoming club who helps foster the sprit of cricket for those of all ages, genders, races and backgrounds.

However, we understand that such a commitment isn't suitable for everyone for a number of reasons. Therefore we offer a pay-as-you-play non-members option to those who choose it.

These fees are:

- £13 full
- £10 student/member of women’s section
- £5 junior
- Caps will also be available to purchase for non-members - price tbc

Should a pay-as-you-play member end up playing so many fixtures that they have contributed in excess of their relevant membership fee, club membership will be granted as a gesture of goodwill.
