Match report The Seconds had four players making their club debut and they were sent into bat by the Villagers. With wickets falling at the other end, Praveen, batting at two kept the scoreboard moving but he must also have given the visiting bowlers some encouragement when "big shots" failed to come off. The run rate was always healthy but it was not until Jim joined Zoheb in a stand of 45 for the 8th wicket 7.1 overs that our good total was assured. The highlight was 19 from the 26th over by Zoheb (4,4,6,4,1) after a vintage boundary by the skipper had earlier brought up the hundred.
Vishnu, Kamran, Asanka and James ran through the visting batsmen in 12.4 overs with the key moment being Vishnu's switch to round the wicket for his fourth over in which he claimed three wickets without yielding a run.
