Match report Batting first for the first time since the opening league fixture at Broomhall the seconds had three significant partenerships of 52 for the second wicket (Sohail and Rakesh) 40 for the fifth wicket(Jim and Asanka)and 42 for the sixth (Asanka and Vishnu). Rakesh's eighth four tok him to a well deserved and on his league debut James Mollard hit 3 fours in the final over to boost the score.
After two early strikes by Vishnu, James also picked up three wickets and Eric's accurate spin was rewarded with a three wicket haul. Gerry only claimed one victim, thanks to a catch by Eric, but kept the run rate in check as we eroded what had seemed a decent position for our visitors in their reply.
