Match report A highly efficient and effective performance in the field restricted Livingston to two batting points. In dismissing our hosts in 42.5 overs Eric captured four wickets and there were three each for Kshitiz and Kamran. Kshitiz claimed the first victim when he induced an edge to Sohail behind the stumps and gained two further scalps at the end as a reward for a tight opening spell. Kamran was always testing the batsmen's defences and Eric combined wicket taking and economy.
A stand of 41 by Sohail and Praveen in 10.4 overs got us off to a good start but after Praveen's dismissal there was a leakage of wickets. Rakeesh, playing watchfully, scored steadily at one end until until he skied the first ball, a half-tracker, from Livi's fifth bowler to backward point to make the score 79 for 7. A vital cameo 17 from Murali took us to the brink of victory with seven more required. This brought Gerry in to join Eric and they saw us home with the latter striking a boundary to earn the win points.
