Match report A 40 overs per-side affair in continued un-seasonal (wet / cool / miserable) mid-summer conditions at the Inch Vs Glasgow High. The Mitres lost the toss and were put into bat. A meandering, cautious start, played on the Artificial wicket soon burst into life with 50's posted from Murali and Ram, who were punishing anything coming in their direction. Following their retirals, a middle-order wobble gave way to some quick, hard hitting from Andrew Buddery to push us to an imposing total of 187/4.

GHK's innings played out pretty much the same as our's, held together by a score of 113 from one batsman alone. Tight, accurate & fruitful bowling from Vishnu and Sabu, gave way to more erratic bowling in the middle-overs. Pete Kingsley played a handy role in keeping GHK in check, with his now infamous 'filth' & when Murali snared their top-scorer, thanks to a tricky, high catch taken by James at deep square leg, there was only ever going to be one outcome with the GHK tail consisting of 3 fledging starlets.

The Mitres first victory of 2011 & also nice to get a Sunday game played following recent call-offs!
