Match report Having won the toss, ESCC 2XI decided to field first. MDAFs were soon in trouble by losing their first wicket with only 2 runs on the board. However, MDAFs took the attack to ESSC with a quickfire 40 from Kidd who chose to deal with only in boundaries. A double bowling change broke the partnership and restored the balance soon after. Jack & Eric bowled 18 overs between them for 29 runs taking 7 wickets to turn the match in favour of ESSC. Both were very impressive from the outset and gave very little away. MDAFs were eventually bowled out for 107.

In reply, Praveen set the tone for the chase by hitting a straight 6 in the first over. He carried his bat through the inning to remain unbeaten on 69 that included 3 sixes and 5 fours. This was a comprehensive win for ESSC 2XI and moves us up in the league.

Despite the positive result, Jack was unfortunately injured in a freak accident whilst umpiring. He is expected to be out of action for 3-4 weeks and was a real shame considering his star performance with the ball.
