Edinburgh South Cricket Club 1st XI v Preston Village CC on Sat 22 Apr 2006 at 13:00
Edinburgh South Cricket Club Lost 104

Match report Whatever yiung Nick Hunt goes on to achieve in cricket he will always be able to claim that he took the first wicket for the club under its new name, Edinburgh South. The visitor's score stood at 33 at that point and Gerry Dodson claimed two more wickets with their total on 36 and 38. The only other success came when Stuart Templeton hit the stumps 97 runs later.
In our previous existence batting collapses were a regular feature and the new name made no diference as we slumped to 36 for 6 in 14.3 overs. The damage was repaired by a resolute partnership of 44 in 16.2 overs by Nick and Charlie Barratt. It needed the return of the Villagers opening bowlerand Mitre legend Derek wright Snr. to dislodge Nick.
