Match report A host of unavailabilities caused a patched side, which included Aaron Bradford disregarding injury and Peter Fyfe who received the latest of late call ups from the Thirds, to take the field for this fixture. However,a fine bowling performance from our five man attack dismissed Accies for 121 including 5 penalty runs for a ball hitting the helmet.
Manu, Charlie and Farhan reduced the visitors to 48 for 5 from 14.1 overs. Roshan broke a partnership of 54 for the 7th wicket and together with Cheslyn quickly disposed of the tail with Peter Fyfe making a catch tumbling forward at mid on to secure the final wicket, although in a case of mistaken identity several of his newer team mates thought that Fyfey was Julian.
Manu gave the innings a positive start but our reply faltered when we lost 3 wickets in the fifties. Milan started to repair the damage with a six but he then battled hard together with Farhan for 9 overs before being bowled by a ball which kept low making the score 82 for 6. Mike, acting captain, joined Farhan and together they added the 40 runs required to gain a gutsy win.
