Match report In the bright sunny conditions prevailing at the start of the match Nab elected to bat when he won the toss for South. If the plan was to make a big score in favourable batting circumstances a brisk opening partnership of 66 was a good way to start. However, we fell back into old ways by losing wickets in clusters and batting only 39.4 overs of the 50 allowed to us. Even a modest 3.5 per over in the unused overs would have taken us to the minimum of 190 to 200 which we would have looked for after such a start.
However, 156 was sufficient to give us a comfortable victory in which Adnan was involved in all 3 of the wickets which we gained through run outs. These came by means of a direct hit, a throw by Bilal to him at the bowler' stumps and his throw to Nab in his usual role of wicketkeeper. Nab also grabbed 3 catches behind the stumps, 2 off Amir and one off Bilal. By the end, for the second time in the week a chilling mist was descending, but Mir brought the match to a swift conclusion by demolishing the stumps of the Home numbers 9 and 11.
