Match report Nab won the toss in this Masterton Trophy Group match and elected to bat. Adnan opened the batting along with Vaishak and together they confidently put on 75 forthe first wicket in 7.3 overs at which point Adnan edged to the 'keeper. Vaishak was palpably lbw in the next over which had Nab joining Rukh at the wicket. This pair plundered runs at will in batting positively for the rest of our innings (72 balls) in a partnership of 120.
It took the introduction of Kiran to our attack for the 5th over to separate the Morton openers. He struck with his first ball when Rathore nicked to Danial Khan behind the stumps and hit the stumps with the first ball of his second over. Later in the same over he gained an lbw verdict from the umpire before starting his third over by again taking a wicket, This came thanks to a good catch by Nab, who was fielding at mid on. (Morton 45 for 1 from 8.1 overs.) Kiran's final figures were 4 for 15. At the other end Soyeb had been bowling a tight spell while Kiran was sending back the top order. Praf replaced Kiran and altthough his first ball went for 6 his next bowled the visiting captain. He followed this with a second wicket from his 5th ball. Another with the second ball of his second before switching to the other end to claim a fourth - all at the cost of 16runs. Kamran and Nipun took the other 2 wickets through catches in the deep by Praf and Soyeb respectively.
