Probably the most exciting game of the ESCC season so far!

Ansh won the toss and chose to bat first, but our new pace sensation Sarthak made an immediate impact, tearing through the top order with excellent support from Praveen’s clever spot bowling. At one stage, Ansh’s team were struggling at 12/4. However, they showed great resilience to recover strongly and post a competitive 219/16. Radeesh (46), Nipun (25), and Matty (30*) led the fightback. Jeremy was the standout bowler with 3 wickets, while Sarthak, Praveen, Shamen, Kasun, and Rayyan picked up two wickets each.

The chase began in explosive fashion, with Nab leading from the front with a blistering 63 (43* and 20). He was well supported by Praveen (34), Kasun (23), and Shamen (21), all contributing valuable quick runs. Jeremy capped off his excellent all-round performance with an unbeaten 18 before retiring out, while young Rayyan added a handy 13*.

Azan impressed with the ball, claiming 3 wickets, followed by Kiran with 2, and contributions from Jaz, Ansh, and Noor with one wicket each.

The match went right down to the wire, with the chasing team needing 6 runs from the final over—and they held their nerve to secure a thrilling victory.

A fantastic game where everyone, including the juniors, had the opportunity to contribute with both bat and ball. Great cricket, great spirit, and most importantly, great fun! 🏏
