Match report
We lost the toss, and were duly inserted, just as the first drizzle started. Progressively heavier rain eventually caused common sense to prevail after 36 overs, but not before we reached a respectable score. Ram batted particularly well in the conditions, after we lost two early wickets. Shekar and Murali both got out once set, then Peter and Gus added 31 for the ninth wicket.

Massive hunks of timber, recently dumped on the concrete by the container, gave some variety to the normal scene. However the gallant men from the Wee County could only gaze from afar at the promise of our new pavilion, as they gulped a few sandwiches under the trees before departing.

Oh for some real summer days.
