Glenrothes 3rdXI v Edinburgh South Cricket Club 4th XI on Sat 02 Jun 2012 at 13.00
Edinburgh South Cricket Club Lost by 6 wickets

Match report On a sunny afternoon with a cool breeze in rural Fife the skipper won the toss and elected to bat. However the reward for this decision was an early dismissal. Julian and Eric put on 32 for the second wicket in 9 overs and our left handed opener also added 16 for the third wicket with Paul before being bowled for 13.. Thereafter Graham at no. 5 put together a well made 24 before being last out. The total of 109 contained a generous helping of 46 extras from the host bowlers.
Peter claimed our first wicket in the seventh over when Darren held a looping catch at slip and two wickets in the same over by Ben Lee, now to be known as "The General", halted home progress and gave us some hope as the drinks interval approached. Glens, however, regrouped and our only further wicket came when Darren deceived the no. 5 bat with a dipping full toss but by then they needed only another 9 runs to overtake our total.
