Kelso v Edinburgh South Cricket Club 1st XI on Sat 11 Jul 2015 at 1pm
Edinburgh South Cricket Club Lost by 22 runs

Match report After asking Kelso to bat a fine bowling performance, in which Harry and Chappers were to the fore, started in the latter's opening over when Cheslyn held a sharp chance at first slip. Cheslyn bowled tightly in support of our main wicket takers and in his usual single spell -this time of 5 overs- Manu contributed a wicket.

Together with Paul, Manu helped to put on 39 for the first wicket in 10.5 overs. This represented a reasonable start and even using Geoffrey Boycott's caution of adding two wickets to the score 39 for 2 might just have passed muster. We, however, went further and 3 overs later were 40 for 4 - not so healthy. Phil, at number 5, dug in and with support from Milan and Harry moved the score forward but after batting for 87 minutes (73 balls) he was bowled by one which kept rather low.A batting point looked possible but the last two wickets could only gather 13 of the 15 necessary to attain it.
