Match report Drummond Trinity, leaders of Division 2 won the toss and batted. We had given ourselves a handicap by only having ten players and our ranks were depleted further after 228.1 overs when Doug dislocated a finger when attempting a caught and bowled off a fierce drive. He departed to A & E where he was attended to. Although he later returned he was unable to take up his usual position in our top order.

Russell asked questions of their early batsmen with swinging deliveries but he had no luck at that point as his two wickets came in his final over which was the 39th of the visitor's innings. Rain delayed the start of our innings, there were rain stoppages and some parts of it were played in Stygian gloom. It was this and a torrential downpour which restricted our innings to 25 overs and a match decision using the East League calculator.
