Match report When South won the toss Nab opted to bat and after that a match, which can only be described as "a low scoring nail-biter", unfolded before our eyes.
Travel hold ups for our visitors from Kirkcaldy caused the start to be delayed by 18 minutes and 4 minutes later South lost their first wicket (3 for 1 from 1.2). The innings contained only 3 double figure partnerships which were 19 for the 2nd wicket (Adnan and Asad), 26 for the 4th wicket (Nab and Kiran) and a crucial stand of 22 for the last wicket by Manik and Mir. Considering the margin of victory these were very vital runs. Mir scored 14 of them including a four and a six. He fell caught at long on in attempting to hit another maximum.
After 9 overs the Dunnikier openers had put 26 on the board and Adnan came on for the10th. With 3 runs added Adnan ended the largest partnership of the match (29) when Bilal took a catch at backward point. Asad came on for the next over and took a wicket with his second ball when Bilal held this catch in the same fieldin position as the first. There was a difference in these catches as the first catch was given by a left handed bat and the second by a right hander. Adnan and Asad bowled very well together from the 10th untill the 23rd over by which time the visitors were 56 for 7. Mir, our wicket taking hero at Dunnikier, was introduced to the attack for the 25th over and opened with 3 maiden overs. A little later Abhi was given the ball and together Mir and Abhi captured the final three wickets.
