Match report In a thrilling match, Edinburgh South Women's team claimed an impressive victory against Stewart Melville with each player showing great skill and determination.
Yallene got the team off to a solid start with a well-played 6 runs before being dismissed LBW. Sian Kiely scored 3 but unfortunately was caught out and Catherine B also contributed 7 runs before retiring not out. Freya and Marcelina also retired not out after scoring 19 and 4 runs each, showing great grit and determination at the crease.
Aakriti Srivastava unfortunately was dismissed for a duck, but Rhona Brodie and Isla Brodie stayed not out on 3 and 0 runs respectively. The total score of the team was a commendable 92 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
The bowling performance was equally impressive, with Marcelina Pant and Yallene Thirukkumar taking crucial wickets. Catherine B also bowled well with a maiden over and took a wicket, while Freya added a wicket to her runs and Aakriti Srivastava bowled economically but couldn't pick up a wicket.
