A great 2011 in the league concluded for ESCC this weekend.
The
1st XI secured a last minute promotion to Division 2 with a
win over Falkand 2nds. This is a remarkable achievement for
Paul Reddish's side - for whom promotion seemed extremely unlikely having lost their first three matches.
The
2nds, meanwhile, had already won Division 6.
Asanka's men have been superb this season - only losing twice all year.
The
3rd XI finished their campaign last week. An odd season saw them winning their first seven fixtures of the season, only to then lose four times in a row. But the season was rounded off with a close
win at Stirling, leading to a creditable 3rd place finish.
